Sharon Samuel is a results-driven accounting leader with over 15 years of experience managing finance teams and overseeing nonprofit organizations' budgeting, reporting, audits, and strategic planning. She has led successful implementations of new accounting and audit systems and month-end close procedures to improve financial operations.
As a Comptroller for various organizations, such as Ensemble Theatre and CenterPoint Energy, Sharon managed over $25M+ budgets and synthesized complex data into digestible presentations. She instituted best practices that enhanced governance, reduced cash flow leaks, and led annual audits. She also secured $1.5M in grants through proposal writing and donor relationships.
